“He would look better than he does now” – Pundit claims Chelsea star would have done better at Arsenal

Darren Bent believes Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk would do better under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal. He claims that the Spaniard has the knack to get the best out of players.

The pundit thinks Mudryk made a mistake by picking Chelsea over Arsenal while leaving Shakhtar Donetsk. He pointed out how Kai Havertz has started to do better since moving to the Emirates.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Bent claimed that Chelsea players have already shown they are better than the Ukrainian and said:

“I do think under Artetaโ€™s guidance that players would look better. A prime example โ€“ Mudryk. If he had come to Arsenal, he would look better than he does now. Now heโ€™s way off it, heโ€™s completely off it. Heโ€™s at a club where players have bypassed him, thereโ€™s no clear structure for him.”

“If he goes to Arsenal with a plan thatโ€™s clear, thatโ€™s half the battle. But with Timo Werner, heโ€™s got all the pace in the world but he doesnโ€™t utilise it, runs offside too often, when he uses his pace to get into good opportunities he doesnโ€™t take those opportunities as we saw against Manchester United. Whereas Kai Havertzโ€™s brain, he hasnโ€™t got as much pace as Timo Werner but itโ€™s more than enough in terms of being effective than hat Timo Werner is,” he added.

Arsenal were keen on signing Mudryk but the winger opted to join Chelsea instead after the Blues made a late bid for him. He has scored just seven times and assisted six in his 64 matches for the Blues.
