Manchester United agree deal for Ligue1 star but move depends on Real Madrid – Sources
Manchester United have agreed a deal with Lille for Leny Yoro. The move still depends on Real Madrid, who retain an interest in the Frenchman.
Real Madrid and Manchester United have been battling for Leny Yoro this summer. The Red Devils have now jumped ahead in the queue by agreeing a deal with Lille, as per The Guardian.
The Ligue1 side have accepted a £52 million offer from the Premier League side. However, they are yet to agree personal terms with the defender, but sources close to the player have told TheSportzine that the Frenchman is open to moving to Old Trafford.
The 18-year-old is a target for Real Madrid but they are yet to agree a deal with Lille. They are unwilling to pay the current asking price and believe they can lure the defender for a lower fee.
Yoro has just a year left on his deal at the French club and is open to staying for another season. The Frenchman’s first pick still remains Real Madrid, but if Los Blancos are unwilling to make the move this summer, the teenager is ready to discuss terms with Manchester United.
Erik ten Hag’s side have a deal for Matthijs de Ligt in the pipeline and are in talks with Bayern Munich. They are looking to sign just one of the Dutchman and Yoro, with the teenager being the top target.
Bayern Munich are open to selling De Ligt, and have set a £42 million price tag on the Dutchman.
